how we starded

Beekeeper Annette Linnartz has got a bee colony for her birthday from het brother. She was interested in natural beekeeping for about 50 years and helped her brother harvest Balsam honey regurlarly. He’s keeping many bee colonys.

In 2015 she started her small beekeeping company IJsselbIJ.

Certificate ‘speciality and judgement of natural bee products’, 2016, by the Dutch Bijkersgilde.

IJsselbIJ takes care of its bee colonies in a bio-dynamic way.

On local fairs we’re selling our exquisit honey in small pots varying from 50 to 465 gram.

Many years there’s more demand, than supply of our own honey.

To provide our regular customers we’ve build up lasting (=a sustainable solution) contacts with reliable suppliers.

At the avent ‘Apisticus-Tage’, in Münster Annette’s son Peerke Linnartz discovered a shortage off Balsam honey in Germany. To do something about it, he’s made a marketingplan for his school (International Business, van Hall-Larenstein, Leeuwarden, the Netherlands), to sell balsam honey by other companies.

So, exclusively for the German market, we are happy to offer the Balsam honey delivered in 15 liter buckets.

IJsselbij Germany likes to have a personal contact with you as entrepeneur of exquisit and high quality food, to ensure customization.

You like a preview? That’s possible. For a small fee, we send you a sample of this special honey. We care for you and wants to share the exquisit taste of Balsam honey!
